Free GT America font alternatives
One of my personal favorite typefaces is GT America — a beautiful font family that combines the best of two worlds: American Gothic and European Neo-Grotesque.
Designed by Noël Leu with Seb McLauchlan and released in 2016 by Swiss type foundry Grilli Type, GT America comprises no less than 84 styles: 6 style groups — Compressed, Condensed, Standard, Extended, Expanded, Mono — each with 6 weights and matching italics.
It’s a very versatile typeface system that you cannot go wrong with. But if its price tag does not fit a project’s budget, there are some free GT America alternatives worth exploring.
You can download GT America trial (trial version for demo purposes only) from Grilli Type.
