Proggy Vector by Tristan Grimmer

Proggy Vector is the scalable version of the monospaced bitmap Proggy fonts created by Tristan Grimmer some years ago. Designed for programming, Proggy is optimized for C/C++, so for example characters like * are vertically centered as * usually means dereference or multiply.

Some of the features:

  • {} are centered horizontally
  • 0 (zero) cleary differentiated from capital O
  • lowercase l, capital I and numeral 1 clearly differentiated
  • arithmetic operators + - * < > are all axis aligned
  • includes both .OTF desktop version, as well as webfonts (.WOFF, .SVG, .EOT, and .TTF)

Proggy Vector Regular is a modified version of the Hack programming font.

If you are interested in the original bitmap versions, they are available in the Proggy Github repo.
